Everyone knows that tomatoes are great for our skin! Tomatoes are rich in Vitamin C that helps in skin brightening and eliminating acne. They also contain an adequate amount of Vitamin A that is well needed for a healthy skin. Being naturally acidic, tomatoes also aid in balancing the skin and getting rid of excessive oil.

If you're one with sensitive skin, or like me, preferring natural over chemical skin care products, then this tutorial will help you immensely as we start by incorporating tomatoes into our skin care regime.

I will be teaching you how to create a Tomato Facial Scrub at home. I've been using this homemade tomato facial scrub as part of my face cleaning routine for the longest, and personally, it is the best face scrub I've ever used! Because not only does a good cleansing job, it is an amazing homemade exfoliating scrub too!

For those who do not consume tomatoes religiously, pay special attention as this homemade exfoliating scrub can help absorb the benefits of tomato into your face. Skin exfoliation regimes are all over the net today, but my tomato facial scrub will certainly TOP your the list!

What You'll Need

1. Tomato
2. Brown Sugar
3. Your Regular Face Soap/Cleanser
Optional: Foaming Net (Especially good for people with sensitive skin)

Products I Personally Use

1. Wash your face with your regular face soap/cleanser. In my case, I like using a foaming net to extract foam out of my soap/cleanser to ensure a more gentle and thorough cleanse.

2. Wash and wipe face dry

3. Slice off the tip from a tomato (which is normally not eaten)

4. Dip the tip's surface in brown sugar

5. Start massaging your whole face gently in circular motions with the tomato slice

6. Let it sit for 10 minutes

7. Wash your face with warm water

8. Wash your face again with cold water, and you're done!

Repeat this TWICE a week!
