Washing your face with a facial cleanser is never enough. After washing your face, the next mandatory step is always to put on your toner. A toner ensures deeper cleansing and prepares your skin for absorbing nutrients from your moisturizer and serum later on. Luckily for you, the homemade skin toner I will be teaching you to make today will save you a huge chunk of money!

Why did I pick Chrysanthemum as my preferred choice of petals to incorporate into this regime? Well, out of the many flowers around, chrysanthemum has always been one of the top flowers to use in the beauty industry. This is because chrysanthemum is super delicate and gentle on the skin, and helps with gentle cleansing of the face and pores as well.

What You'll Need

1. Chrysanthemum Petals (or Rose Petals)

2. Ice Cubes

1. Wash the petals thoroughly in water

2. Fill a pot slightly with water and place a bowl in the middle. But make sure the water level DOES NOT exceed the height of the bowl.

3. Place all the petals around the sides of the bowl

4. Flip the lid of the pot upside down and close it

5. Set it to boil on high heat

6. When it has boiled, turn the heat down to 'LOW' and let it sit for 20 mins. Place ice cubes on top of the lid and let them slowly melt away.

7. Switch off the heat as soon as all the ice have melted and remove the pot from the stove. Let it cool down.

8. Collect the condensed residue from the bowl and pour it into your spray bottle.

You can now use it as your daily face mist and toner!
